Patti Ragone (E-RYT 500©, YACEP©) is a nationally accredited Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Teacher and Continuing Education Provider. During her career she has been blessed to work in the service of adults, children, and families teaching the practice of Yoga and Meditation. Patti lives with her family in Leesburg, VA. She practices, trains and teaches at YogaShak, a yoga studio located in Ashburn, VA. owned and operated by Patti alongside her business partner and best friend, Kelly Armstrong. Patti has completed expensive training in the areas of Aerial, Ashtanga, Children's, Diverse Abilities, Prenatal, Restorative, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga formats. Patti is passionate about making Yoga accessible to all abilities, athletes, disabilities, and those recovering from injury. She is professionally trained to customize and serve the specific needs of each individual or group she teaches, meeting her students where they are and providing the tools which allow them to thrive on and off the mat. Through her continued love of learning, she is currently training to become a RCYT-95© Registered Child Yoga Teacher, and RPYT-85© Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher. Patti has also most recently been accepted into a two year Mindfulness Meditation Certified Teacher Training Program under the direct teaching of Tara Brach, Ph.D, psychologist and author, and Jack Kornfield, Ph.D. The heart of her teaching is to share the love of Yoga and the peace found in Meditation with all.
Kelly has been practicing yoga for 22 years, teaching yoga for more than 20 years and educating Yoga Teachers for over 10 years. A dedicated student of yoga, Kelly has had the honor of studying with amazing teachers like Paul Grilley, Kellie Adkins, Bryan Kest, Suze Curtis and Desiree Rumbaugh (to name a few). She is a Certified Yoga Therapist recognized by the International Association of Yoga Therapists who specializes in Athletic Performance and Rehabilitation, and Autoimmune Deficiency Diseases. In addition to her love of Vinyasa Yoga, Kelly has a deep passion for Yin Yoga and encourages mindful exploration into all aspects of the practice with gratitude and compassion.
